It’s the most wonderful time of the year, and we all know what that means – it’s shopping time. And what better way to spread Christmas cheer than with a foodie gift?

We’ve scoured the internet, choosing our favourite products and asking you for the best foodie gifts on offer this year. From stocking fillers to cookbooks to the coolest kitchen gadgets, we reckon we’ve done it. So here’s our guide to the best Christmas gifts for foodies, whatever your budget.

Stocking Fillers

Sauce Shop X 12:51 Scotch Bonnet Sauce, £5

The perfect finishing touch to a foodie hamper, this Scotch Bonnet Jam is top chef James Cochran’s spicy contribution to the sauce world. Made with Scotch Bonnet peppers, red chillies and tomato, it adds a nice warmth to your food and works especially well with fried chicken, as seen in our video with James himself! Plus, all jam is made by hand in small batches and contains nothing artificial.

Japanese Knife Company Chopsticks, from £4

Upgrade their sushi experience with some fancy chopsticks from the Japanese Knife Company, as suggested by @hanskruse. There are plenty to choose from, all with different patterns and at different price points, but we like the Seigaiha Blue Chopsticks.

Tooletries Shower Drink Holder, £14

Know someone who likes a cheeky tipple in the bath or shower? They’re in luck – this Shower Drink Holder is designed for that very special union between hot water and cold beverage. It’s a great one for office Secret Santa. It has a ton of great reviews, although be warned, we had some trouble getting it to stick to certain surfaces… But maybe it was just our bathroom!

Cards For Good Causes Brussels Sprout Dust, £4.50

Thank you to @mcgilllaura for this one! Made with garlic and a range of spices including cumin, cardamom and paprika, Brussels Sprout Dust is designed to ‘change your mind’ about the controversial Christmas staple. So whose mind will you change this year?

Mid-Range Winners

Whittard The Hot Chocolate Gift Box for One, £19

Whittard has long been a staple for Christmas gifting of the tea, coffee and hot chocolate variety. This year is no different. Complete with their Luxury hot chocolate powder, a chocolate mallow spoon and a tall glass to drink it in, we reckon their Hot Chocolate Gift Box for One is the ideal gift for any chocoholic.

Hoppers Gift Voucher, from £25

We were absolutely blown away by the DIY meal kit we had from Hoppers earlier this year, and then blown away again by our curry masterclass from Hoppers’ own Karan Gokani. Which means we can definitely recommend treating a hardcore foodie to a voucher to eat at one of their restaurants in Soho, King’s Cross or Marylebone. With all sorts of delicious Sri Lankan and South Indian-inspired dishes on the menu, they’re guaranteed to love it.

Burrows & Hare Thermal Lunch Bag, £24.99

Anyone else find that their money just disappears when they’re in the office? Get someone ‘sorted’ for 2022 with a handmade lunch bag from Burrows & Hare. They can transport their meals to work – and it’s thermal too, meaning no fighting for fridge space either!

Risdon & Risdon Mini Bag, £49.50

Made by a family run British company @risdonandrisdon based in Shrewsbury, Shropshire. The Mini bag is the perfect stylish little bag for the essentials shop run! The bags are available in multiple canvas colours as well as denim and there is a choice of leather or cork detailing!

Cookbooks & More

I know what you’re thinking, “of course they’re going to say this”, but we really think the SORTEDfood Christmas Gift is an absolute must-have for any foodie. They’ll get 1 year’s SORTEDfood membership, including access to the Meal Packs app, along with your choice of cookbook and one of our new aprons too. And that’s all for the bargain price of £65, down from £109.99 if bought separately!

Poppy Cooks: The Food You Need by Poppy O’Toole, RRP £16.99

Where would we have been this year without the expertise of Poppy O’Toole, aka Poppy Cooks? Give someone you love the gift of Poppy’s knowledge with her cookbook, The Food You Need, guiding them from Core fundamentals to Fancy AF dishes.

Sugar, I Love You by Ravneet Gill, £20

The perfect gift for someone with a sweet tooth, Sugar, I Love You is pastry chef and SORTEDfood guest judge Rav Gill’s latest tasty offering. It’s full of recipes for sweet treats, from cheesecakes to mousses to Italian bomboloni, that are bound to delight any dessert fiend. Buy them this and they won’t just love sugar – they’ll love you too.

Zara Home Recipe Book, £17.99

First things first: no, there aren’t any recipes in it. The Zara Home Recipe Book is all about making their own recipe book! They can fill it with favourite cuttings from magazines, notes from the internet, secret family recipes – or they can get creative and write their own.

Cool Gadgets

AeroPress, £30

Poppy O’Toole reviewed one of these earlier this year, and it’s safe to say she was impressed by the AeroPress. The super speedy gadget makes smooth, delicious coffee in about a minute – and it’s really lightweight too, meaning it’s perfect for travel. @Theorem_Poem is also gifting one this year – we’ll see you at the checkout.

Tabletop BBQ Smoker, £79

Got a mate who likes their food smoky? The Tabletop BBQ Smoker might be the gift for them. It’s ideal for gardens, terraces and balconies, no matter what size, and delivers delicious hot smoked food every time. It’s a thumbs up from us.
