What better way to raise some donations for an incredible charity, than to challenge Mother and Daughter combo to a PASS IT ON cook off for Christmas!
It’s amazing how many of our community reach out to share their stories on eating disorders* and the impact that our special brand of fun, educational content has in helping to improve their relationship with food. Community member Gaia reached out to share her story and teach us a little about the charity that she and her Mum, Emma Thompson, raise awareness for – Beat Eating Disorders.
So we thought, what better way to raise some donations for an incredible charity, than to challenge Mother and Daughter combo to a PASS IT ON cook off for Christmas!! Not only did we manage to achieve an outstanding outcome in the kitchen but as a community we came together and raised thousands to support the Beat cause.
*Eating disorders are serious illnesses affecting people of all ages, genders, ethnicities and backgrounds. It’s important to remember that eating disorders are not all about food itself, but about feelings. The way the person treats food may make them feel more able to cope, or may make them feel in control, though they might not be aware of the purpose this behaviour is serving. An eating disorder is never the fault of the person experiencing it, and anyone who has an eating disorder deserves fast, compassionate support to help them get better.
