Ingredients
50 g kale
1 tbsp sesame oil
140 g diced pancetta
500 g pre-cooked gnocchi
1.5 tbsp gochujang
150 g crème fraîche


1 - Preheat
Preheat the oven to 200°C. Fill a kettle with water and get it on to boil - this will be for the gnocchi
later.


2 - Get the kale ready
Tip 50g of kale onto a medium baking tray, then toss with 1 tbsp of sesame oil and a pinch of salt.
Spread the kale out into 1 even layer.


3 - Roast
Roast in the oven for 7-9 minutes, until crisp. Get on with the rest of the dish in the next steps while
you wait.


4 - Get the pancetta on
Tip 140g of pancetta into a large frying pan and place it over a medium heat. Allow the fat to render
from the meat, then fry for 5-6 minutes, until golden. Get on with the rest of the dish in the next

5 - Cook the gnocchi
Add 500g of gnocchi to a large mixing bowl and cover with boiling water from the kettle. Set aside
for 3-4 minutes, until soft and plump. Get on with the rest of the dish in the next steps while you
wait.



6 - Add the gochujang
Once the pancetta is golden, add 1 ½ tbsp of gochujang. Reduce the heat to medium-low and fry
for 1-2 minutes, until fragrant.


7 - Add the gnocchi
Use a slotted spoon to transfer the gnocchi into the pan from its cooking water and toss everything
together.


8 - Add the creme fraiche
Dollop in 150g of crème fraîche.


9 - Mix
Give everything a stir over the heat. We are looking for a thick sauce that coats the gnocchi - loosen
with a splash of the gnocchi's cooking water if necessary.


10 - Serve
Divide the gnocchi between plates or bowls and top with the kale. Tuck in!
