IT'S CHRISTMAS!!! This Christmas FridgeCam takes a festive look at one of our favourite and easiest recipes - Cake in a Mug! A very merry Christmas from all of us at SORTED! Hope you eat yourselves silly :-D Upload your cake in a mugs to Instagram using the hashtag #SORTEDcakeinmug


INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp self raising flour
  • 2 tbsp caster sugar
  • 1 tbsp ground almonds
  • 1 tsp mixed spice
  • 25 ml brandy
  • 1 tbsp milk
  • 1 small egg

STEP-BY-STEP-GUIDE:

XMAS CAKE IN A MUG | Melt the butter

Melt the butter

Grab the mug you're going to use (the more festive the better!) and melt a knob of butter in it using a microwave.

XMAS CAKE IN A MUG | Spoon in dry stuff

Spoon in dry stuff

Add self-raising flour and caster sugar, ground almonds and spice.

XMAS CAKE IN A MUG | Add in the wet stuff

Add in the wet stuff

Include the brandy, milk and egg.

XMAS CAKE IN A MUG | Mix it all up

Mix it all up

Mix it all up so it's evenly combined and smooth.

XMAS CAKE IN A MUG | Cook

Cook

Cook in a microwave for 3 minutes at 800watts. Then rest for a minute and serve with a dusting of icing sugar!

You know, given the recipe here, I bet anyone could find a way to put a little candied fruit in this recipe...but perhaps finely chop the candied fruit up ...maybe??? ^^?
