Recipe: Vegan Nutella


Whether you're a vegan or not you should have this homemade nutella recipe in the bank. With a few simple ingredients this will make up one jar of everyone's favourite hazelnut spread. Who said vegans had to miss out on all the fun?


  • 80 g hazelnuts
  • 20 g blanched almonds
  • 200 ml almond milk
  • 1 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 150 g dark chocolate
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 3 tbsp Agarve Nectar

Step 1

Toast The Hazelnuts

Toast the hazelnuts in a dry frying pan until they brown and you can smell them. Toast the almonds separately. Fold a towel around the hazelnuts and rub them to remove most of the skins.

Step 2


Heat the almond milk and agarve nectar in a saucepan until just boiling then remove from the heat. Melt the dark chocolate with the salt in the microwave. Grind the almonds and hazelnuts together in a food processor or a blender until as fine as possible. Add the melted chocolate and continue to blend until smooth.

Step 3

Add The Milk And Chill

Pour the warm milk mixture into the processor or blender and incorporate into the chocolate. Cool the mixture in the fridge until it hardens (a few hours). Makes one jar.
