Recipe: Snickerdoodle Ice Cream Cone


Okay, we know the internet will love this one... it has chocolate lined waffle cones, snickerdoodle inspired ice cream, chocolate cookie dough AND cute dogs! Enjoy!


Ice Cream

  • 600 ml double cream
  • 398 g tin of condensed milk
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon

Cookie Dough

  • 110 g salted butter
  • 350 g soft brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 260 g plain flour
  • 60 g cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

To Construct

  • 4 large waffle cones
  • 100 g dark chocolate
  • 1 tbsp soft brown sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
Make the ice cream

Step 1

Make The Ice Cream

Whisk up the double cream until you have soft peaks. Fold in the condensed milk and ground cinnamon, then transfer to a dish that you can freeze. Freeze for several hours, until it's just spoonable.

Line the cone with choc

Melt the dark chocolate and dribble onto the inside of the waffle cone to create a water proof lining. Sit each cone in a glass and place into the freezer for a few minutes to set the chocolate.

Make the cookie dough

Make The Cookie Dough

Melt the butter in a saucepan, then beat in the brown sugar, eggs, cocoa, flour and vanilla extract. Place the cookie dough onto greaseproof paper in a long sausage and wrap up. Chill until it's set enough to cut.

Cut the core

Cut The Core

Cut the cookie dough into chip like shapes and place one into the core of each chocolate lined cookie dough.

Fill the cones

Step 5

Fill The Cones

Spoon the semi-frozen ice cream in and around the cookie core up to the top. Place back into the glass and freeze completely.


Step 6


Ball up the rest of the set ice cream and plonk a few on top of the frozen cone. Finish with a sprinkle of ground cinnamon and sugar.
