Recipe: Sloe French 75


This glorious champagne cocktail recipe mixes a classic winter drink with your favourite bubbles. It takes no time at all to whip up a lovely sugar syrup to blend with sloe gin, the juice of a lemon and some champagne. Don't forget to check out our other champers cocktails!


  • 50 g caster sugar
  • 50 g water
  • 4 lemon
  • 120 ml sloe gin
  • 400 ml champagne
Make the Sugar Syrup

Tip the sugar and the water into a small saucepan. Bring the mixture to a boil and let it bubble for 2 minutes. Cool the sugar syrup to room temperature.

Peel the lemons, spiralling around the lemons to keep it in one piece Fill a cocktail shaker with ice and pour in 4 tbsp sugar syrup, the gin and the juice of one lemon. Divide the gin mix between 4 champagne saucers. Pour 100ml of chilled champagne into each saucer. Serves 4
