Recipe: Cherry Bakewell Slushie

This Slushie recipe has all the layers of your favourite Cherry Bakewell! With lemon, cherry and almond flavours, it's a tasty take on a classic cinema treat. Enjoy.
Ingredients
Cherry Flavoured Slushie
- 50 g kirsch chopped cherries
- 100 ml water
- 50 ml cherry liqueur
- 100 g sugar
- 2 drops purple food colouring
Lemon Flavoured Slushie
- 2 lemons
- 100 ml water
- 50 ml limoncello
- 100 g sugar
- 2 drops yellow food colouring
Almond Flavoured Slushie
- 100 ml water
- 50 ml amaretto
- 100 g sugar
For Blitzing
- 1 kg ice

Step 1
Make The Cherry Syrup
Blitz the kirsch soaked cherries. Pour them into a saucepan with the water, cherry liqueur and sugar. Bring to a simmer to make sure the sugar dissolves, then add the food colouring.

Step 2
Make The Lemon Syrup
Peel and blitz the lemons. Pour them into a saucepan with the water, limoncello and sugar. Bring to a simmer to make sure the sugar dissolves, then add the food colouring.

Step 3
Make The Almond Syrup
Pour the water, almond extract, amaretto and sugar into a saucepan. Bring to a simmer to make sure the sugar dissolves.

Step 4
Blitz And Serve
In separate batches, blitz each syrup with a handful of ice, adding more ice if you need to until it becomes a slush. You can also save the syrup if you don’t want to make them all in one go! Makes 4 slushies
