Sticky buffalo wings

  • flour
  • 100 g brown sugar
  • oil
  • 1 tbsp water
  • enough Panko breadcrumbs
  • 80 ml franks hot sauce
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • 10 wings

Step 1

Raw Chicken Cutting.. Yurk

Separate drum sticky bit and wing. Discard wing tips

Step 2

Coat the Wing parts in flour. Then dip in egg (I used milk because I'd run out of eggs, it worked fine) Then coat in panko/ordinary bread crumbs. Not sure of quantity. You want enough to cover these babies. Shake of excess

Step 3

Lightly grease a baking sheet. Line with grade proof paper. Place wings on papered sheet. Spray wings with lots of spray oil. (Healthy!) Bake for 30/40 minutes at 210c (180 fan I guess dependent) turning a couple of times through. Add more oil if they look a bit dry.

Step 4

Combine sauce ingredients in a small sauce pan. Franks hot sauce. Sugar. Garlic powder. Heat through until sugar has dissolved and starts to bubble round the edges. Add water. If you want it a bit runny.

Step 5

Sticky Wing Time

Once wings are cooked remove from oven and let rest for a few minutes. Place wings into a bowl and pour over your sauce. Make sure they're properly coated with it. I like to add a few splashes of the left over sauce from the bottle or some Tabasco or some of the hotter sauces to give it a little more umph. I'm still playing with this recipe. Some like a blue cheese sauce with it. I'm not sure it needs it. Enjoy!!
