Recipe: CHRISTMAS LEFTOVER STEW
saving the pennies after christmas use the things you would usually throw away!
- 1 Turkey carcass
- leftover root vegetables from christmas
- Enough stock to cover (or leftover gravy with added water)
- 1 Can Sweetcorn
- 1 Tea mug Pearl barley
- large carrot, onion and 2 celery sticks. (chunks)
- Bay leaf
THROW IT ALL IN
Put everything in a slow cooker or in a pot on the hob in a large pot, add your stock (or gravy) and cover with enough water to submerge the carcass.
TIME IS THE KEY
You must let it boil for at least 3 hours on low with a lid on. or all day in the slow cooker. simple but delicious and not too rich!
