Recipe: Chocolate Cookie Cupcake Ice-Cream Cone

This recipe is pretty epic... it was built for the internet... crammed with all the stuff you guys love. But when Chris and Nick from The Brothers Riedell came to help us bake them... they had to make it even more epic by transforming the whole thing into a blockbuster movie!
Ingredients
For The Cupcake Mix
- 150 g butter
- 150 g light brown sugar
- 3 eggs, beaten
- 120 g self raising flour
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 30 g cocoa powder
- 1 box mini oreo cookies
- 10 flat bottomed ice cream cones
For The Toppings
- 150 g butter
- 190 g icing sugar
- 1 tbsp milk
- 2 chocolate flakes
- 1 handful sprinkles

Step 1
Preheat Oven
preheat the oven to 180ºC.

Step 2
Create Mixture
beat the butter and the brown sugar until light and fluffy. add the eggs, one at a time, and mix until fully incorporated. combine the flour, baking powder and cocoa powder before folding them in.

Step 3
Divide Mix Into Wafer Cones
spoon the mixture into the flat bottomed ice cream wafer cones to fill them halfway up. poke a few mini oreo cookies into each.

Step 4
Bake Cupcakes
bake in the oven for 20 minutes, until cooked through. allow the cupcakes to cool.

Step 5
Make Icing
beat the butter in a bowl until soft, then gradually mix in the icing sugar before adding the milk. transfer the soft pale buttercream into a piping bag with a star nozzle. pipe the buttercream onto the cooled cupcakes, and top with a chocolate flake and sprinkles.
