Recipe: Irish Coffee


The ultimate Irish coffee to be enjoyed alongside our delicious spiced ginger cinnamon buns. Check out the recipe and how we put it all together in the video... and INDULGE.


  • 100 ml water
  • 100 g demerara sugar
  • 100 ml double cream, chilled
  • 10 ml vanilla extract
  • 20 ml ginger syrup
  • 70 ml Jameson Caskmates Whiskey
  • 200 ml espresso
  • 1 pinch cinnamon powder

Step 1

Tip the water into a small saucepan over a high heat. Add the sugar and let it bubble until the sugar dissolves and the liquid thickens slightly to a loose syrup. Lightly whip the double cream so that it thickens slightly but does not hold it’s shape).


Step 2


Steam two 270ml glasses to warm them. Pour 20ml of the sugar syrup into each glass. Divide the vanilla extract, ginger syrup and Jameson Caskmates between the two glasses. Pour in the coffee.

Pour the whipped cream into the coffee over the back of a spoon so it floats on top. Finish with a pinch of cinnamon on top and serve. Makes 2 Irish coffees with leftover syrup
