Recipe: Chocolate Rice Krispies Marshmallows
This cheeky little dish takes Rice Krispies to a whole different dimension, using orange and lemon zest, chocolate, marshmallow spread and (obviously) mint to create a perfectly simple evening snack.
- 1 orange
- 1 lemon
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
- 150 g Rice Krispies
- 3 tbsp marshmallow spread
- 25 g dark chocolate, chilled and grated
- 2 tbsp toasted almond flakes
- 2 sprigs mint leaves
Make The Butter
Zest the orange and the lemon and stir then zests and the brown sugar into the butter.
Pour the mix into a large mixing bowl and add the Rice Krispies. Toss to completely coat the Rice Krispies, then add the marshmallow and coat again.
Finish And Serve
Chill the mix in the fridge for 10 minutes, then remove and toss again to separate the grains.
Scatter over the grated chocolate, almond flakes and the mint leaves.
Serve in a big bowl and enjoy on movie night with your mates!
