Recipe: Holiday Tuna

This is my take on a dish that I had on holiday years and years ago. Enjoy!

  • Pepper
  • Juice if half a lime
  • 8 Baby New Potatoes
  • 1 Clove Garlic
  • ½ Red Onion
  • 2 Tuna Steaks
  • 150 ml Soured Cream
  • 1 Handful Corriander
  • Salt
  • Olive Oil
  • ⅓ Jalapeño Pepper
Chop and combine

Step 1

Chop And Combine

Chop up the red onion, jalapeño, garlic, lime juice and coriander super fine and combine with the soured cream. (You can do this in a blender but I don't have one soooo yeah...)

Step 2

Boil your potatoes in water. When they are done, gently crush them with a fork and season. You can mash if you like but I prefer to keep the skins on and keep a bit more texture in the potatoes.

Step 3

Tuna Time

Sear the tuna steaks in a dry pan. I like my tuna quite rare but cook until it's how you like it, you're eating it after all! When you're done, start plating up with the potato first then drizzle your sauce and a little olive oil and chopped coriander around the plate. Top off with your tuna! Ta daa!
