Mike's Zombie Cocktail

This drink is scary but delicious. And it takes no time to whip up. Do go the whole hog and make the sugar syrup though. It's worth it.
- 30 ml gold rum
- ½ tsp cinnamon powder
- 1 slice pineapple
- 100 ml water
- 1 sprig mint
- 10 ml white rum
- 1 drizzle grenadine
- 100 g caster sugar
- 2 tsp lime juice
- ½ tsp cinnamon
- 30 ml pineapple juice
- 1 jar kirsch soaked cherries
- 1 slice fresh lime
- 60 ml cinnamon sugar syrup
- 20 ml dark rum
- 30 ml grapefruit juice
Prepare a tall glass filled with ice and a few cherries throughout the ice.
Strain the shaken mix into the glass.
Drizzle over a little of the grenadine.
Garnish with the pineapple, mint and lime.
Make The Cocktail
Make the sugar syrup by heat 100ml of water with 100g of caster sugar until the sugar dissolves and the mixture thickens slightly. Add the cinnamon.
In a cocktail shaker pour all of the rum and all of the fruit juices, the sugar syrup and the mint.
Add a handful of ice and put a shaker glass on top. Shake well for 10 seconds
Be Fancy And Serve
For a bit of flare, grab a blowtorch or a lighter and place it over the drink. Scatter a little extra cinnamon over the top so that it flames.
