Recipe: Orange Curd


Lemon curd is the obvious... but orange is really good too. Less tangy and more zesty.


  • 3 oranges
  • 200 g caster sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 100 g butter
  • pinch ground cinnamon
Zest oranges

Step 1

Zest Oranges

Zest 2 oranges and squeeze out the juice of all 3.

Add the eggs

Add The Eggs

Place orange zest and juice into a bowl with the sugar, eggs, egg yolks and cinnamon.

Heat over pan

Step 3

Heat Over Pan

Heat over a pan of simmering water, whilst stirring occasionally until it's hot enough to thicken. Add in the butter, stir to melt and allow the whole mixture to thicken.
