Recipe: Oriental Style Chicken


Stir fried chicken breast with soy sauce, ginger syrup, sesame and lime


  • 1 tsp Lime zest
  • 1 tsp Chinese Five Spice
  • 1 tbsp Lime juice
  • 300 g Free-range chicken breast
  • 1 tbsp Rice oil
  • 100 g Red paprika's
  • 3 tbsp Coriander
  • 1 tbsp Dark soy sauce
  • 1 tsp Ginger syrup

Step 1

Marinating The Chicken

Add your soy sauce, ginger syrup and lime zest into a bowl and put in the Five Spice.

Step 2

Preparing For The Action!

Pre-heat your wok (or large frying pan). Make sure it's screaming hot! In the mean time, chop up some red peppers, spring onions, garlic and coriander.

Step 3

Fire It Up.

Heat a tablespoon of rice oil (or any high-temp oil) in your pre heated pan. Add your marinated chicken to the pan and sear it on all sides. For the last minute, add your garlic, spring onions and red peppers.

Step 4

Finish It

Deglaze the pan with the lime juice and add the sesame seeds. We enjoyed this awesome chicken with some French baguette slices. Just put the chicken on the bread and sprinkle over the coriander. The bread is optional if you just want the meat and veg!
