Buttery chocolatey cookies that taste better than box cookies

Doubled this recipe and made loads of cookies. The first batch was totally ugly and for some reason just not properly cooked. What helped the cookies not stick was to touch the water everytime before making a thumb print. What helped with the cooking for my oven was to 1) cool the cookies before cooking and 2) change the temperature to 200degrees celcius. The second and third batch came out beautifully. Certainly isn't a good recipe for a perfectionist who wants perfect close to identical cookies >< But taste wise every one I tasted so far has been delicious.

Made these for workmates tomorrow. One way to get through Wednesday :)

These cookies are delicious!
