At SORTED we love a good party... and it goes without saying that whenever we get together with friends we have to include food! So this is a selection of simple but tasty dips (and a few homemade straws) to put out and let people help themselves to.

At SORTED we love a good party... and it goes without saying that whenever we get together with friends we have to include food! So this is a selection of simple but tasty dips (and a few homemade straws) to put out and let people help themselves to.

INGREDIENTS

  • 400 g chickpeas
  • 1 glug extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 2 limes, juiced
  • 1 handful fresh coriander
  • 2 pinches salt and pepper
  • 1 mug mayonnaise
  • 1 tin crab meat, drained
  • 1 dollop sun-dried tomato pesto
  • 1 squeeze lemon juice
  • 1 sprig fresh basil
  • 1 mug sour cream
  • 1 chunk creamy garlic soft cheese,
  • 2 sprigs fresh parsley
  • 2 sprigs fresh chives
  • 1 squeeze lemon juice
  • 1 pinch paprika
  • 1 egg

STEP-BY-STEP-GUIDE

Roll out the puff pastry and brush with beaten egg. Sprinkle over the paprika and a pinch of salt (optional).

Cut the pastry sheet into thin strips about 20cm long by 1cm wide and take each strip individually and lay them onto a non-stick baking sheet, giving them 3 twists each.

Bake for 15 mins at 200 degrees celsius until puffed and golden.

make the dips

Take each dip one at a time and dump all the ingredients into a blender. Blitz until smooth and transfer to a serving bowl for later.

Serve with breadsticks, crisps or chips… party food SORTED! Plenty for 8 party goers
