Recipe: Chocolate Ban-Udge Muffins... In A Jar!

CHOCOLATE BAN-UDGE MUFFINS... IN A JAR!

This is a beautiful gift! Any gift of food is readily received... but muffins... Now you're talking! This jar contains all the ingredients you need to tip into a bowl and simply add some water and oil then bake. Couldn't be quicker or easier to have freshly made muffins. Plus it'll keep safe in the cupboard until you get the temptation to bake!

Ingredients

  • 200 g self-raising flour
  • 100 g soft brown sugar
  • 4 tbsp whole milk powder
  • 1 sachet of egg white powder
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 100 g dark chocolate, chopped
  • 75 g dried banana chips
  • 100 g fudge pieces, chopped
Weigh and layer

Step 1

Weigh And Layer

Grab yourself a jar with a lid. Weigh all the ingredients into separate bowls. Carefully layer them into the jar, packing the contents down as you go so they don't mix over time. Alternate colours.

Label and gift

Step 2

Label And Gift

Bung on the lid and label up as a gift. Make sure you have the instructions on the back of the label so the person you gift it to knows how to bake them.

It's been a while since SORTED posted the 'Chocolate Ban-udge Muffins in a Jar' ... now I finally had a reason to try out this idea! This here is a birthday present for a friend - in this jar there are all the ingredients needed for delicious hazelnut brownies (without eggs and oil ... :D) I'm definitely going to give away more food presents- it's soo much fun! ^^

The title says it all haha. Whipped this out because I still had a block of tofu in the fridge even though I am not such a great fan or soy products. Nonetheless a very easy and rather quick and delicious vegan meal. Trust me, you won't miss the meat, promise!

Similar to Rocky Road, this recipe gives a new twist to regular chocolate bars, whilst also being delicious. They are completely customisable to your tastes so feel free to experiment with any kind of chocolate, chocolate bar, nut, maybe even dried fruit! :) ENJOY!
