Sorted Food Events

Terms and Conditions of ticket sales

  1. These Terms

This is the agreement between you and Sorted Food regarding your purchase of tickets to Sorted Food events, as advertised on the Sorted Food Website (“Events”).

These terms, together with the details of the Event(s) set out on our Website, the Sorted Food Website Terms and the Sorted Food Privacy Policy (“Terms”) set out the whole of our agreement relating to our supply of Event ticket(s) to you. Please read these Terms carefully before you make a booking with us. If you think that there is a mistake in the Terms, please contact us to discuss. Our contact details are set out on the Sorted Food Website, and also in our Website Terms.

Your access to the Event(s) is conditional upon your acceptance of and compliance with these Terms.

Sorted Food reserves the right to refuse entry, bring a session to an end or ask an individual to leave the premises at which an Event is held, at any time.

  1. Contract

In order to purchase ticket(s) to any Event you must be 18 years old or more.

We reserve the right to refuse any order placed by you.

Sorted Food will notify you by email if we accept your order. No order will be accepted until we have received the full price of the tickets that you order. By accepting your order we bring into existence a binding contract between us.

Any purchase from Sorted Food is subject, in addition, to any special terms and conditions stated to be applicable to an Event on our Website, and to any venue terms and conditions (including conditions of entry).

  1. Ticket prices and fees

The price payable for Events is as set out on our Website. We reserve the right to change our prices without prior notice, please check when you book your tickets. All prices offered for Event(s) by us are inclusive of value added tax.

While we try to ensure that all advertised prices are accurate, errors may occur. If we discover an error in your order, we will inform you as soon as possible and give you the option of confirming your order at the correct price (in which case we will credit or debit you as applicable) or canceling your order (in which case you will receive a full refund).

Full payment for the Event(s) will be taken at the time of making a booking. We accept payment with all major debit and credit cards.

When ordering tickets on our Website, the Website will not prevent you from making unfeasible bookings, such as tickets to two different Events taking place at the same time. If an erroneous booking is made, no refund will be made in any circumstances.

  1. Restrictions on tickets

When purchasing tickets from us, you are limited to 6 tickets per Event, unless you obtain our prior written consent otherwise. This policy is in place to discourage and prevent unfair ticket buying practices.

Tickets are non-transferrable – you may not resell your tickets.

Only those aged over 18 may attend any Event.

Tickets may be sold subject to additional restrictions on entry or use, such as restricted view. Any such restrictions will be displayed or otherwise notified to you before or at the time that you book your tickets. It is your responsibility to ensure that you read all notifications and other important information displayed or notified to you as part of the purchase process.

Tickets may not be used for advertising, promotions, contests or sweepstakes (or similar), or combined with any other product or service to create a package for distribution, unless Sorted Food’s prior written consent has been obtained.

  1. Events

Please note that advertised start times of Events are subject to change.  Please check start times for your Event; if you are late, you will be admitted, but you may miss part of any meal served and we are not obliged to serve you with any missed courses.

The Event venue may conduct security searches of you and other ticketholders for safety and security purposes and/or may refuse admission to those breaching or suspected of breaching the terms and conditions of the Event.

By attending the Event, you and other ticketholders consent to being photographed, filmed and/or recorded by Sorted Food or on its behalf and by other ticketholders, and you acknowledge that other ticketholders may post this material on their social media accounts. You and other ticketholders additionally grant Sorted Food the right to use, reproduce, publicly perform, publicly display, publish, distribute (either directly of through third party distributors) transmit, broadcast and otherwise exploit audio, video and film recordings and/or photographs resulting from the Event in which you appear or are made reference to, and any reproductions or adaptations of the audio, video and film recordings and/or photographs for all general purposes in relation to Sorted Food’s work and the work of Sorted Food’s clients in any form, medium or technology now known or late developed including, without limitation, the right to use them in any publicity materials, websites, social media channels, mobile device applications, books, newspapers and magazine articles.

No animal, other than an assistance dog, may be brought into the Event venue.

  1. Event cancellations and alterations

Please note that the advertised venue for Event(s) may be subject to change. If the new venue is more than 15 miles from the originally proposed venue, then you will be entitled to cancel your ticket up to 7 days prior to the date of the Event and claim a refund of the sale price of the ticket.

Sorted Food may make alterations to the advertised details of the Event(s) at any time up to and during an Event. In particular, but without limitation, the attendance of each of Ben Ebbrell, Jamie Spafford, Mike Huttlestone and Barry Taylor is not guaranteed at any Event, although they will try to attend whenever possible.

Sorted Food may also cancel or reschedule Event(s) if it is unable to proceed due to reasons beyond its reasonable control, for example adverse weather conditions or unavailability of the advertised venue.

If an Event is cancelled or rescheduled, Sorted Food will use reasonable endeavours to notify you of this, however we cannot guarantee that you will be notified before the date of the Event. It is your responsibility to ascertain via our Website whether an Event has been cancelled or altered, and the date and time of any rescheduled Event.

If an Event for which you have purchased tickets is cancelled in full and not rescheduled, you will be offered a refund of the sale price of your tickets.

If an Event for which you have purchased tickets is rescheduled, you will be offered tickets corresponding with your original tickets, subject to availability. If you are unable to attend the rescheduled Event you will be able to obtain a refund of the sale price of your tickets, provided that you notify us that you cannot attend by the deadline specified by us.

To claim a refund, please follow the instructions that we provide to you. Refunds will be made using the same method of payment as you used for the initial purchase.

  1. What if you change your mind or cannot attend the Event

No refund will be given in these circumstances, but if you contact us and we are able then to sell your Event ticket(s) to someone else, we will refund the sale price of those ticket(s).

  1. Food intolerances and allergies

Attendance at and participation in our Events will involve contact with food and drink and, in the absence of negligence, neither Sorted Food nor its employees, agents or subcontractors can be responsible for, and all liability is excluded for, any allergies or intolerances to food or drink suffered by you or other ticketholders or any related personal injury, illness or death.

As part of your ticket purchase we will ask you for any specific dietary requirements that you have and it is your responsibility to provide this information in full. If we are unable to accommodate your requirements we will reject your ticket purchase and explain to you the reasons why. Unfortunately our menus cannot always accommodate all dietary requirements. If you do not disclose your dietary requirements, Sorted Food cannot be responsible for any allergies or intolerances to food or drink suffered by you, and excludes liability as set out in this clause 8.

  1. Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits Sorted Food’s liability for death or personal injury arising from our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited by English law.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sorted Food shall not be liable for any indirect or consequential losses arising from your ticket purchase. In this regard, please note that personal arrangements including travel, hospitality and costs and expenses incurred by you relating to the Event(s) which have been arranged by you are at your own risk and we shall not be responsible or liable to you for any wasted expenditure, including where an Event has been cancelled, rescheduled or altered.

Subject to this clause 9, Sorted Food’s maximum liability to you in connection with the Event(s) (including but not limited to including any cancellation rescheduling or alteration to the Event(s)) shall be limited to the price paid by you for the ticket(s).
