Recipe: Chocolate Brownie In A Mug

Settle your chocolate craving and make a 5 minute brownie in a mug to eat on the sofa. It's quick, easy, cheap and perfect for students thanks to the trusty microwave. There's an idea for you.
Ingredients
- 1 small egg
- 65 g light brown sugar
- 25 g plain flour
- 50 g dark chocolate
- 35 g salted butter
- 1 handful pecan nuts
- 10 g cocoa powder

Step 1
Melt Butter, Choc & Sugar
Snap the chocolate into a small bowl and spoon in the sugar and butter. Melt in a microwave for 45 seconds, then stir to continue the melting in the residual heat.

Step 2
Crack In The Egg
Crack in the egg and beat together, followed by the flour and cocoa.

Step 3
Cook
Cook for 2 mins on full power (800 watts), then leave to rest for another 2 minutes.

Step 4
Chop The Nuts
Chop the nuts and add to the mixture.

Step 5
Enjoy
Decorate with a dusting of icing sugar, a sprig of mint and a dollop of ice cream! Tuck in!
