16 Very British Food Problems

We Brits face some terrible hardships in life and the biggest struggles always involve food. Oh and of course, the weather.

Here are some very British problems…

1. The most stressful question of all time…. ‘Is a Jaffa Cake a biscuit?’.

2. The sad sense of achievement when you find the optimum dunk time for a biscuit in a cup of tea.

3. Whenever you head to the shops to buy sausages and hamburgers for the BBQ you trigger a downpour.

4. The absolute horror of making eye contact with someone as you bite into an enormous sandwich.

5. Losing the plot and sprinting outside the door when you hear the sound of an ice cream van.

6. Seeing the sun for the first time in May and heading to the shops to buy an abundance of Pimms and fruit cider.

7. Taking your work lunch out of the microwave early, when the food is still cold, in order to prevent the aggregation of the queue behind you.

8. Telling your friend that his cooking is ‘lovely,’ then hiding everything in your napkin when he turns his back.

9. ‘It’s Christmas’ means ‘I’m going to eat all the food and all the drinks my eyeballs lay vision on’.

10. Insisting on cooking everything on a campfire when camping because you think you’re Bear Grylls.

11. Feeling like you’ve failed if you didn’t have a scone over a bank holiday weekend.
