Who doesn’t love a bit of mulled wine around this time of year? The weather is getting colder (in most places…) and what better way is there to get a bit of warmth in you?! Over here you can buy bottles of mulled wine to heat up, but everyone likes it slightly different and it’s so easy to make that we’d always cook up our own.
Mulled wine really is a recipe that you can just chuck whatever spice you fancy into. Cinnamon, cloves, citrus peel and vanilla are all favourites, all added with a good handful of sugar. If you’re feeling like you need a bit more of a kick you could try Scandinavian Glögg, which adds a little extra spirit like Vodka or Brandy!
Luckily, drinking it on it’s own isn’t the only way of enjoying it! How about trying it in cooking? It is PERFECT in Mulled Wine Duck, and of course wine isn’t the only drink that you can mull. Try our Mulled Cider with a sneaky side of mince pies, then keep some aside to make Pork Chops with Mulled Cider Cabbage!
