A simple fondant rose that Barry learnt to make from his nan. These can be made in a variety of sizes to suit all types of cake decorating.

dye your fondant icing pink using food colouring.
dust the surface of the table with icing sugar so the fondant doesn't stick.
roll out the icing to the thickness of a pound coin.
cut out multiple petals with a circular cutter.
mould a bulb from the left over fondant icing.
layer the petals on top of the bulb, overlapping each one, to form a rose shape.
(use a splash of water to help stick the petals on top of each other)
