It's national sausage week! With a massive 87% of British households buying sausages, we thought that you might need a few recipes....we've found three of our favourites using sausage as a main ingredient.
Sausages are appreciated by everyone, but students truly love them in our Sausage and mushroom crumble. We also use them to give a bit of luxury to our perfect posh beans on toast.
As if we hadn't given you enough already, our Sausage Pasta dish which is ready in under 15 minutes!!!
Meat and Fish
18 meaty sausages
Fruit and Veg
2 white onions
1 red onion
1 bulb of garlic
4 field mushrooms
1 punnet of button mushrooms (150g)
a big bag of fresh spinach
bunch of fresh parsley
Dairy
a few shavings of Parmesan
small tub of creme fraiche
chunk of cheddar cheese
Dry Ingredients
some leftover tomato sauce or a carton of garlic and herb passata
1 tin of tomatoes
1 tin of cannellini beans (400g)
1 jar of mixed herbs
4 slices of thick brown granary bread
plain flour (100g)
bag of bow-tie pasta (500g)
Check you also have...
a few glugs of oil
a splash of Worcestershire sauce
butter (50g)
sprinkle of mixed dried herbs
