Why on Earth would you bother making my own sweets and chocolate when you can just nip to the shops? One reason really, it’s so fun! Oh wait, there are some more too: It’s immensely satisfying when you nail it and it tastes exactly like the real thing AND you can learn some banging cooking skills along the way.

REECE’S PEANUT BUTTER CUPS
Oh Em Gee these are so easy it’s actually silly and the ingredient list is mega simple. You don’t need a special mould, just cupcake liners to get that great effect. If you’re a beginner, this is the place to start.
Described as ‘Artisan flumps’ these marshmallow twists have got us trembling with excitement. Hold the phone because this recipe makes 25 ropes! Slightly more tricky, but if you’re thinking of adding marshmallows to your repertoire you’ll love ‘em.
Ferrero Rochers are quite expensive in the shops aren’t they. On special occasions you pray someone’s going to crack out a box and you can’t really take more than two without feeling greedy. Problem solved. Make your own! Secret ingredient? Nutella.
On the subject of divine hazelnut chocolate, it would be silly to miss Kinder Buenos! You’ll need some fancy moulds for these to make them look like the originals. This recipe will also help you improve your skills for tempering chocolate. Use our guide!
Three! Just three ingredients are needed to make these and if you don’t want to spend on some circular moulds, you can use an ice cube tray instead. Don’t go to work. Stay at home and eat rolos in bed all day instead!
We need to take a break from all this chocolate! If you’re more a fruity person then wolf down some fruit pastilles- tropical style! Kiwi, mango and pineapple are used to give a really nice edge. Om nom nom nom.
